Save the Youth Service in Hull
Your online petition entitled ‘Save the Youth Service in Hull’ has now expired after being active on the Hull City Council website for three months. The issue was debated at the Council meeting of 24.02.11, following receipt of a paper petition with over 1500 valid signatures entitled ‘Petition wants Hullcc to Listen and Withdraw Youth Services Cuts’. Following careful consideration, Council received that petition. As the petition scheme precludes receiving a petition where the business with which the petition is concerned has been the subject of a matter raised by a similar petition received or submitted within the last 6 months, the online version expired on 14.05.11 after being superseded with no further required action. Hi every1 i have just been thinking would we b able to get the news or hull daily mail to mention about the fight to keep the services open? Just a thought dont no if anyone would be intrested in it but could b worth a try?

i am so angry that the council tryingto shut are kingston youth centre they have kept a lot of people out of trouble

Been on the 1.30 demo of the council cuts representing Connexion, YPSS, Surestart and the people of Hukll in general. I did not find it ammusing that council workers were laughing at protecters of the the Gulidhall Windows. It is there fault that we are in this situation not us. The protest was constituded of an estimated 600-800 prople of all backgrounds and age. I will note the distinct lack of young people of age 13-15. Typical Hull Council, cut cut cut, thats all they think about, how about the councillors doing 3 days out of 5 in the guildhall, paid and the other 2 unpaid, thats a way to save money, infact cut half the so called jobs these councillors have, as sure as I am in the next election I will be very surprised if Minns and his cronies get in again, I voted Libs for the last 4 years and they have done nowt for me, they delayed in stepping in during the connaught fiasco, If it don't suite them, they will do nowt to help us, not even the successful YPSS, but they wil start running our young people down, when there is nowt for them to do
i am so angry at the thought of YPSS not been around to offer the help and support that it offers to young people. i my self have been using the YPSS service and have found they have helped and supported me now it looks like it will be took away which makes me very dissapointed and sad. please we have to save it from ending i really hope this works and people will realize it is a very important thing for so many people.
