The Hull People's Memorial
The council of the City of Kingston upon Hull should support the erection of, by public subscription, a permanent memorial to the those who served, and/or died, in the city during the bombing of the First and Second World Wars. The memorial will display the names of those who died in the bombings and those who led our city and citizens through the horrors of war and be placed centrally, over the one-time site of the Prudential Tower in Queen Victoria's Square.
See www.hullremembers.co.uk for further information.

The Chairman Carole Goodair of the local Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses and her Committee all feel that the many people of Kingston Upon Hull who endured ,suffered and died should have a special Memorial
I am all for this we know how bad Hull was hit during the war
I heard a few years ago a lady on Radio Humberside wanting people to contact her with there memories of that time as there was talk of a film been made or documentary but i have not heard anything since the stories should be told the nation should know of that North East Town. Has anyone else heard of this
We should honour those brave citizens of our City.
By remembering them, we honour the spirit of Kingston-upon-Hull's people when they stood against the Luftwaffe's onslaught and won.
Never too late to honour those who bravely served, suffered and died or lived to tell the tale.

I think this is a really great idea and a tribute to those who lost their lives in the 1st & 2nd world Wars.
